Library Policy/FAQS

Checking out books

Items in the general collection can be checked out with a valid student or faculty ID for a period of two weeks, with an option to extend that period with a renewal.

Students who do not return items will have an academic hold placed on their record. This hold prohibits students from registering for classes or receiving financial aid.

Printing & Copy Machine

Printing is restricted to one (1) copy of a document. Additional copies from the original may be made using the Library's B&W copier, which charges .10 a page.

The Library discourages printing unusually large documents (i.e. 50+ pages). Lengthy PowerPoint presentations should be printed in outline view.

Cell Phones

Cell phones should be silenced. Cell phone calls should NOT be made or answered in the library.

Children

Children under the age of 16 are NOT allowed in the library. This rule is in accordance with the General Student Information in the SGTC Student Handbook.

4. Reference and Databases

Reference and Databases
The library has compiled select Galileo and Credo Reference databases. This section also includes online newspapers and magazines.

Connecting to the databases off-campus requires a password and/or username. Contact the library to receive this information.
